Apedale Heritage Centre

Apedale Heritage Centre Apedale Heritage Centre consists of a museum and former coal mine. It tells the story of Apedale and its surroundings from prehistoric times to the present, illustrating the rich industrial, economic, social and leisure background of the Apedale valley, Chesterton and Holditch area.

Reconstructions include a drift mine and miner's cottage. The underground coal mine tour is a particularly vivid experience for all ages.
